Dealer said to bring it in and they will have to test drive it and then call Chrysler.

Replacing the trans mount did nothing to cure the chirp. Tell your dealer to use chassie ears to localize the chirp at the front of the bell housing.
See, that is exactly what I had replaced, and I'm yet to have the chirp come back. It's been a good few weeks now.

Of course, I have a rattle from a heat sheild now (I think, but not sure).

Thumbs up Rattle

Mr. Bigheab

Check under your shifter boot cover. There is an inner shifter cover that if not replaced correctly will loosen and allow a lot of noise into the inside of the Jeep. It is easy to fix....just snaps in place.

Ugh. The dealer says that they don't hear the chirp and there's nothing they can do since they don't hear it. I don't know how they can't hear it.

I really don't know how they don't hear it. It was loud enough for them to replace the flywheel several months ago. So you heard it back in January but now you don't hear it? I'm really think there's something fishy going on.

Can I take it to another dealer and see if they hear it?

Does anyone know if I find damage later on - while still in warranty - that is realted to this if I am still covered? I'm worried that if it's a bad clutch that they will say that it was due to normal wear-and-tear and it's not covered under the warranty.

Are you riding with them? You take them out and demonstrate the conditions under which the chirp occures. That way there is no ambiguity

Take them around the block in it and don't let him out till he hears it That is what I do to dumb ass advisors when I have to. I'm lucky to have good ones this time around.

Thanks! I know I hear something else on top of the heat shield rattle (which was actually my converter needing replacement). MY JEEP IS BECOMING A LEMON EVERYONE.

BTW, still no chirp!!!

Luckily ( ) I have to go back to get a new part for the radio due to the volume button breaking. I'll take them for a ride. Hopefully it will make the noise when they are there. I just hope that they really don't hear it and that they're not trying to avoid an issue.
