I just started hearing it last week. Just turned 2500 miles. Happens every shift into 2nd and 3rd, when letting the clutch out and accelerating again. Damn! Thanks guys for the info, though. At least now I can bring it to the dealer with some useful info for them.

don't know where your squeak is coming from but try this ...on your seat lever that raises the seat ...move the lever to lift the seat a hair off bottom....cured mine...then I sprayed wd-40 on the pivot joints under the seat and "my" squeak is gone. But then again mine was anytime you moved in the seat...

Talked to the Service Manager at my dealership today and told him about the chirp.. He knows about it and said Jeep is fully aware of it. They all have it and he's had several jeeps in with the problem. They are still investigating and he says "There will be a TSB for it, he's almost sure of it" He thinks it's a suspension part. I told him about the clutch fix and he said he thinks that's related to the throw out bearing TSB and is a seperate noise. He said even if it is the clutch, its not a huge deal to fix but at this point they are waiting to hear back from Chrysler on what to do. So keep bugging your dealership about it and hopefully soon we'll have a fix.

Cheers

Thanks for the update. I don't want to go back again until there's a TSB. It seems that they never have the part that they need that they think will fix it. I think other dealerships are also ordering various parts to fix it, which only makes it worse.

Is there some place (besides this site) that lists TSB's as they come out?
I'd like to keep an eye on this one.

I have the chirp, and every 6 speed on the dealer lot had it as well.

I called DC customer sirvice on this and after a few attempts they have called me back and "want to help me get this fixed".
We shall see.

What??? The clutch has less of a warranty than the normal 36/36K? I thought the 36/36 was bumper-to-bumper?

Crossbones, I think if you have had the vehicle in for the problem before the warranty runs out, you are covered for the problem if something happens after it runs out.

I have had it in and out in and out in and.... still same the only time the CHIRP went away was when they changed my clutch ... BUT it came back Slllloowwwllly after 3 weeks. They obviously have some kind of problem in the manufacturing or design process, I was told by my dealer that's all they could do for me, so I called DC and they told me to see my Dealer! I feel like they are just waiting for the warranty to wear out. and YES the Clutch is only guranteed 20000KM look at the Maintenance Book, it's in BOLD.

He was talking about kilometers. Damn Canadians and their metric system.
