I had my JK at the dealer again today, no luck with the chirp...

They don't seem to concerned about it that's forsure.. piss me off..

They also said they are going to have their "engineering department" look into the stall bug I had and get back to me...

Also the ESP update appears to be only for 4x2 vehicles but I seem to have the same problem, anyone had the fix done on their 4x4?

Default I am now a week + with no chirp...

The de-glazing of the clutch plate completely eliminated this problem for me. YMMV.

Default Chirp Is Getting Louder

BOUGHT MY JK FIRST WEEK OF OCTOBER.
NOTICED CHIRP IN NOV
DEALER SAID VERY NORMAL SOUND FOR NEW JK.
I ASKED WHY IT SHAKES AT THE SAME TIME.
THEY TOLD ME TO GET USED TO IT BECAUSE ITS NOT A TJ OR YJ....(IVE HAD BOTH).

HE TOLD ME I COULD LEAVE IT FOR A FEW DAYS...(WiTH NO RENTAL?)
BECAUSE HE COULD HEAR IT TOO. WITH 9K MILES IM WORRIED CAUSE NOW TS GETTING HARDER TO GET INTO 3RD GEAR.

I HAVENT DROPPED IT OFF CAUSE I WOULD HAVE NO WAY TO WORK

My chirp is not a clutch issue, in fact I can get it in neutral while coasting... I noticed it on the weekend while on a logging road, it does it over some bumps now... its got to be a strut mount or some kind of bushing... my friend suggested it could be a oversized drill hole and the bolt is moving ever so slightly on torque and certain bumps..

Default Its A Jeep Thing

Wow,

Today I Was Back At The Dealer, For The First Time I Was With A Tech That At First Thought Would Be A Real Waste Of Time..

To My Suprise He Knew What He Was Talking About (lol)
I Heard And Felt The Chirp And Loss Of Power With A Delay On Accelleration.

He Told Me To Pull Over Leave In Neutral And No Emergancy Brake.

He Got In Front Of The Jeep And Began Rocking It Back And Forth..
Guess What We Heard ...the Chirp.....he Said Mine Was The 3rd One He Has See In 2 Weeks.

He Let Me Know That The New Drive Shaft Is Built With 2 Drive Shafts That Collapse Onto One Another When The Jeep Moves Foward They Have To Engage That The Teeth Cause A Delay In Momentum.

I Thought Its A Jeep Thing Cause He Said Get Used To It.

The Drive Shaft?

This Same Tech Let Me Know That The :all New 3.8 Jeep Motor Is A Dodge Caravan

So has anyone had this problem resolved? My JK has been at the stealers for 2.5 weeks getting a new transmission (6sp) and ASB module and squeek eliminated.

Default Still

I got the JK back on 5/2 and everything was ok except the squeak. I had asked the stealer 5 times over the course of 2.5 weeks if it was fixed while they were waiting for the Transmission and ABS module. And the answer was yes each time. I took the service monkey for a ride and asked him again if it was fixed and if so what the squeak is that we are now listen to.
He said he would have to keep it for "awhile" to diagnose it. I said you will not keep the Jeep ;you will call DC and determine what thier Engineers think is causing the problem, then if needed you will order the parts. and I will bring it in on a Saturday (I'm not taking another day off) and you can fix it while I wait. They called me back on 5/3 and said that DC is working the issue and they will keep me posted. I will keep you posted .

doesnt' sound mechanical.. sounds like a rubber mount or something or suspension part
