I took the service monkey for a ride and asked him again if it was fixed and if so what the squeak is that we are now listen to.
He said he would have to keep it for "awhile" to diagnose it. I said you will not keep the Jeep ;you will call DC and determine what thier Engineers think is causing the problem, then if needed you will order the parts. and I will bring it in on a Saturday (I'm not taking another day off) and you can fix it while I wait. They called me back on 5/3 and said that DC is working the issue and they will keep me posted. I will keep you posted .
I took the JK back in on 5/12. I called the dealer today and they said they have found the cause to be the transmission mount ( which will take another 5 days to get). They used "chassis ears" to locate the chirp. We shall see.

Today marks the 30th day that the dealer has my JK. Last Sat. the dealer said Monday for sure, Monday The service monkey said they had to order a clutch/pressure plate and throw-out bearing I have owned Jeeps since '85, this is really sad. Why didn't they inspect these when they replaced the transmission

Default Fixed.........for now

I got my JK back Friday @ noon new clutch/pressure plate/throw out bearing fixed the squeek ..for now. However after the first stop at Home Depot to get some plants, the Jk WOULDN'T START The ignition wire at the starter was hanging by two threads. I had it towed back to the five star and told them to fix it NOW. So now I have my Jeep back and out of the hands of the most incompatent dealer I have ever run across After all this I still love my JK

I got this info from another forum I am interested to see if this an actual FIX for this annoying problem ... TSB cross your fingers.

""Well, I got my jeep back finally, and it seems to be fixed. Only time will tell however.

For those of you experiencing this squeak, there is a TSB available now. I dont have the number yet... probably on Tuesday or Wednesday, but the TSB is related to the Slave cylinder.... something about a shim or a sleeve that need to be put over it.

The techs managed to crack the cylinder when installing it the first time, so I now have:
1. New clutch
2. New Trans mounts
3. New Trans
4. New Master/ Slave Cylinder

Hopefully this will be the end of this ordeal... now they just need to fix the top."""

I checked the TSB section but did not see this added. Any idea what the status of the TSB is? I also, would prefer to have that in my hand before having the dealer try to figure out what is wrong.

I am still waiting on it aswell, the dealer has no clue what is going on so I NEED this TSB, The dealer refuses to change anything else and says live with it.

Default Related to TSB 06-002-07 ?

I wonder if this is related to TSB 06-002-07 dealing with squealing sounds? I had the same issue that was supposedly fixed by a new flywheel, but the chirping is back. I've also noticed A LOT of common complaints about a 'sound' on this site that may be related to this, but described under various different symptoms. Maybe a recall is in order?
