I know some people had asked for pics, so I took a few along the way.

Yeah Yeah I know this post is a few months old, but my top didn't leak until recently. Can i just give this guy some props. Although from reading this I knew exactly where to put the washers and had a clear mental picture, apparently others did not; and this kind of post is just the kind of help that make you say "oh, that's it exactly". Thanks man!! or WOman -- i didn't really look

After nearly two years of ownership and complaining about the leaky top, I finally found some time to go find some washers at Lowes. Cripes, what a difference! The interior is dry - I mean, completely and utterly drive. I've never seen it this way.

Thanks for the info guys! My 07 X leaks on both sides onto the top of the door handle. I will be picking up some washers today and doing this. Crossing fingers!

Default Electric Tape

I know how annoying this stupid leak is. I've been using electric tape. Jus tape where the door surrounds meet the little rubber piese and it will fix the leak. This also work on the hard top, too.

I know this is an old post. But my new half doors leaked both times it's rained since they were installed a couple of weeks ago. I found this post and ran over to Lowes yesterday then put the washers on last night when I got home, not expecting rain. Well I go to leave to work this morning and it's pouring rain. Time for the test. 30 minute drive to work and on flooded streets, that I love to run through the water hard enough that sheets of water slam against the windshield, and no leaks! I went out and looked inside after the rains stopped and all appears to be dry. I'm so happy a $1 fix seems to have resolved the issue.

This is such a great forum.

Thanks!

my 2010 doesnt leak that I know of.. but the door surrounds are quite loose even when tightened down.. they rattle like crazy when driving with the top down and doors off... I think ill give the washers a go for this issue too..

my previous 2 Wranglers the surrounds fit tight and I never had leaks...
