Did you get defective axles from the factory? Or did you do something to them? I've never seen anything like that, especially with only 4,000 miles. Why were you required to pay for one of them?

When i brought it to dealer they said i abused it cause there was mud under the jeep. Keep in mind i live down a mile long dirt road in the country . The passenger side lost a retainer clip on the u joint caught that one in time and dealer replaced that one

Sheesh! Seems like some bad luck. I guess you'll remember to clean under the Jeep next time before you take it to them! Dealerships always find ways to get out of warranty work.

See the info/links below. This has been an issue that even happened to '07 & above JK owners. As a cheap insurance some have tack welded the caps to prevent them from loosening or falling off thus causing the failure....

-Clean area
-Tack all 4
-Paint

Pretty simple and it's hot for 1 second.

This is very hard to believe. (from the dealer)
Our owners manual explains how to offroad and our JK's have an emblem on the side of them that says "Trail Rated".

I can't imagine the shit fit I would have thrown if my service department manager would have told me that.
