Make sure your tires are set right in the computer. Tire size and gear ratio has a lot to do with this. The dealer can only set the tires to 32. If you have larger tires you will need to have an after market programmer.

You cant compare your 4000lbs brick 4x4 to your wife's lighter 2 wheel drive mini van. It just doesn't compute. Any time your driving anything 4x4 your mileage is drastically less than that of a 2 wheel drive. Whether in 4w or 2 wheel the whole drive line is still a spinning mass of metal it just isn't engaged to the front wheels when in 2hi. Don't like buy a Prius.

That's good advice Rubi. My prius will be delivered next week. I'm planning a 12 inch lift and 35x12.50 tires with an solid axle conversion, and 4x4 drive line install as well as an LS1 swap. This will also include heavy duty front and rear bumpers and tire carrier. If I use an AT tire what gearing will get me back to stock mpg? Won't a stinger on the front be good for an extra 5 mpg? Should I put whole milk or 2% on my cereal?

If I was good at photoshop I would post a pic of my plans but you guys will have to wait for the build out
