Hmmm,

I didn't get much interest in the fix for this, so I didn't follow up on the project. If a more folks chime in with a need, I'll look at the product again.

Sorry to hear bout the cracks. Really SUX.

Yeah, please post up with what they say. If they tell you that it's normal and don't cover it under warranty, then I'll look at making a kit to fix this again.

Default Woods, we need a fix!!!

I'm chiming in.... Please get us a fix. I think we're seeing an early warning of a failure point that we'll all have to deal with post warranty.

Maybe a formed load spreading plate, that we epoxy on???

I wish this top was plain fiberglass.... repair methods for that are well known and simple (although sometimes messy) to do.

I've already got the design finished. It's six simple metal plates with High Bond Double Sided Tape on one side.

I just need to follow up on costs, so I can get pricing for you guys.

So would a good sized washer on top and bottom be a stopgap for now?

I just purchased a hard top and have yet to mount it so no first-hand experience (yet) here...don't look forward to it.

I'd say that it definitely wouldn't hurt.

If I recall correctly (doubtful) the plate that I designed is 2" X 1.5" of .125" stainless.
