Hard top cracks from fasteners
You've never removed the top, so it's cracking under factory torque, and they won't cover it?!?!?!
That is a bunch of bullsh!t right there!
For those of us that remove and re-install our tops frequently, I could understand, but.....

Mine has several cracks
Only time I took the rear off was to uninstall the soft top. Snugged the bolts with a small ratchet one handed lightly to avoid this very problem which I anticipated based on my old CJ hardtop. I've only done mild off-road but hell, I hear it creaking and popping every morning when I back out of the driveway. When I take the JK west to Moab or CO I guess I'll install the soft top - I doubt the hard top would take a week of trail flexing without structural damage.
Count me in for a set of plates.

Now the question is: How soon are you going to have your fix available. Also I didn't see any pictures of your design but by the pictures of the problem the top has stress from above that needs to be relieved by a shim below the top. Should your fix not be ready available would a fender washer below the top serve the same purpose so as not to hold up my project.
Also does anyone know if I should get longer bolts or will the factory bolts have enough bite after adding a fender washer below and 1/8" angle above.
My Thanks to anyone for any added imput, GRIZZ
I inspected mine a few minutes ago when I took the top off. (many days of rainless bliss in the forecast)
Two are cracked, the rearmost right side ones.
My cracks aren't quite as bad as the pics.
I only tighten my bolts with a driver and a twist of the wrist. (no ratchet or other leverage)
I expected something like this could happen after many years of use, but not in less than a year and not to be not covered by warranty. (especially since the cracks appear to be the norm, not the exception)
