A week after I bought my JK a friend was disassembling the glove box for me. He pulled it out and we found the previous owner's basketball ring sitting in the middle of the dash. We were going to pawn it but its just a cheap gold plated thing.
I haven't lost anything down that abyss as of yet. I have a feeling the previous owner did. If i disassemble the dash I'm going to look around. Until then I'm buying the insulation... right now.

Still have the gap in my '09 ... lost a pen down it the other day ...
mine hasn't eaten anything yet, mostly because I don't put anything up there... well, except my sunglasses, in which case the gap actually helps keep them in place, which is nice...
I was just hooking up my new super tweeters and dropped one of the quick connectors that hooks the wires. Flew right out of my hand and down the black hole of the dash. Out of all the placing it could have flown!!!.

There are quiet a few changes to the 09's but I didnt know that this was one of them and it wanst on the list that was given to me but it could of been a last minute change by Chrysler , here are some i did know about though and was given a list by a friend (Parts Manager) at the dealership hence my reason for waiting for a 09

OK, So I bought the foam insulation and while installing it I got second thoughts due to ventilation.
I went back to Home Depot and searched the ailses for something else to stick in the Rubicon to fix this issue.
What I found it the plastic corner pieces for hanging sheetrock.
I cut a piece to 53" and found that it didn't fit in any suitable way.

So I put it in a vise and clamped it down from 90 degrees down to about a 30-40 degrees angle.
If fits better and if I put a little pressure on it it sits down real nice and tight to the edge of the dshboard.

<br>

There is also a lip below the edge of the dash that I believe might hod the modification below the dash level. Sitck your fingers in and feel along the dash edge you can feel this nice little gap that might work. Anyone have the dash apart and know if that lip is suitable?
Plan on painting it to match the dash and then see if I can get it to sit betwwn the winshield lip and that lip below the dash.
Suggestions?
