Default Jeep is being stupid

When I say Jeep I mean the Dealer I went to and the people I have to deal with. The stick shift boot and that whole area came up. I took it in still under warranty and a fresh 5 days old they say that its going to be $40 dollars. I said Efffff that give me some gorilla glue and I'll fix it myself. What is it that I can really do?

mine did the same thing, the little torx screws that hold down the baseplate are plastic and seem to break overtime or with rough treatment by someone installing. My dealer fixed mine with no questions, i would not glue it down. The boot will have to come off more than you expect and if you glue it down that will probably just damage more when it has to come off.

You have a 5 day old jeep an the dealer won't honor the warranty? Something doesn't add up. What's the rest of the story?

Default 5 days or 11 months....

That should be fixed under warranty, no charge.

They said since it didn't happen while they had it they have nothing to do with it. I went back in and then they said "Here you go tell people about us!" Hahahah

Man I would tell everyone about them! Post all their info so everyone knows to go elsewhere. And I would be writing happy "f*ck that" letters to anyone & everyone in the chain off command for that dealership..
