Default Low Idle???

Sometimes when I'm sitting at a light my rpm will touch 500 and shudder like the engine is going to die then it catches itself. Not only is this really annoying, I'm sure it means something isn't like it's supposed to be. Any ideas or anyone with the same problem?

I'm running an auto

I'm also having an issue where sometimes I'll turn the key all the way to ignition and engine just clicks. Lights work so I doubt its a battery issue. I usually have to turn the key 4 times or so for it to finally catch. Any ideas? (No intentions of hijacking)

Mine idles at 600 RPM.... Most vehicles if running right should be around 5-600 RPM from what I've been told..

Check your starter...

To me it all sounds like electrical/computer problems. Maybe there needs to be another recall. What year is yours?

600 is where is should be, but mine will dip below 500 and shudder. Like the first post says. That's not normal

I'm not sure if it can be done on these engines without going through the computer, but your idle speed may just need to be turned up. Also, have you checked the timing ?
