as some of you know...

i have a 2010 jk... it has 3000 miles on it... 3 months old


heres some background...
bought it love it..

feb 11th: Woke up and started jeep and it was making a terrible sound..
as if the motor was knocking like crazy, i pushed in the clutch and the sound went away.

I called the jeep dealer and they said bring it on in. brought it in..
dealer said bring it back after the storm coming



feb 15: Dropped jeep off at dealer to be fixed... the lady had the nerve to say "chrysler said not to fix the transmissons because of the snow storms.... so its not warrenty covered...

" i said between me and you. we both know thats not gonna happen.."

so they agreed to fix it.
they said it would be ready by tues or wends.. the new transmission will be in and ready to roll.. great

wrong.

feb 17th: Went to go pick up jeep. got there and said weres my jeep??
they said the transmisson got lost in shipping..?!!

"how in the flying Fu*K do you lose a transmisson" so they had another one EXPADITED or however you spell that.?

feb 20th: 5 days later nothing to be heard of. I finally got a rental car.

NOW!

feb 25:

they said they lost yet another transmission.. i flipped out!!!!!!!!





Called the main manager... he said he wont bull shit me any more..



45 MANUAL 6 speeds have been orderd from md.. just MD!

they stopped making them @ germany.. due to being faulty.

all 45 coming to MD have been stuck in OVERSEAS @ customs...


yet they had 2 expadited huh..

now.. they got 20 more days or they buy the jeep back from me..
and i get a rubicon.......

which is bull shit.

Pretty sad that chrysler couldn't work out the trans problems by 2010, and a host other really dumb problems by now.......
First year in production I can understand, but cant they realize they lose more money by not fixing known problems, and letting their service centers fix them, rather then fixing the root of the problems at the assembly line......

 

bad thing is... my loan is through my bank..

if it wasnt chysler would be paying my jeep payment while i dont have it

man, i've signed nothing yet and the dealership is supposed to have my order on their lot monday. i was expecting to close that deal next week and would love to hear more about this. was that trans defect limited to that time frame or are others doing same still?

This recall has been in effect since the 2010 came out and they didnt fix it early in the game..

but chrysler JUST STOPPED today... making the 6speed... they are going into redesign on the input shaft and 1st and 2nd gear syncro's


the recall is STILL for jumping out of first gear.

mine had all 3...wtf @ 3000 miles.
