Wishing you best of luck man. It reminds me of the whole situation I had with my recent WRX.
I'm sure it will be taken care of one way or another. The dealer cannot charge you anything for this, since it is not your fault. So I would not worry about paying anything. If they do charge you, then threaten with a lawyer.
And as for the gear popping, I'm sure everyone has this problem. I have it once or twice a month. My dad has it like once a week.
And for the noise, I would freak out as well! Sucks to be me. I bought my JK used, so I only have up to 36k miles on all warranties, since it is a secondhand vehicle.

When I first started following this thread I was all upset and wondering if i had done the right thing ordering a 2010 rubi when i have not had a single glitch with my 08. Well I have decided not to sweat it, I feel for you guys having issues and wish you a speedy recovery but you know even if it does happen to mine i'm not worried, I have a great dealer and i know that what ever goes wrong will be taken care of and yes i will have a bit of down time but i still want a new jeep no different from any one on the forum. shit happens and things break just think about all the good times you are going to have with your jk and friends keep the faith man you could be driving a hyundai.

So, since I have a 2010, that was built very late 2009, I called Chrysler Canada to ask if there was a recall notice on it. They confirmed that there is currently no outstanding recalls for the 2010 MY Wrangler. I also called the US Customer care line, and they confirmed as well that there was currently no recall campaigns on the transmission of the 2010 MY Wrangler.
I think you're dealer is playing you. They may have a TSB listed, but definitely no recalls have been filed with the NHTSA or Chrysler.
