That's very possible. It does tend to hold debris like a shelf. Easy to clean but also easy to neglect...

It wasn't to save money because there's a recall to replace all the old skids. I changed out my bar with a off road evo skid.

Just take off your old skid before going to dealer. If they ask, you just tell them you heard about the safety issue of the old one and "threw if away". They'll install the new bar, which you can promptly swap out once home again.

Yeah, That should work if they don't notice it every time I bring it in. It would just be my luck that someone saw it and said, wow how did we miss fixing this problem?
