Rebelle Rally

Jeep vehicles have taken six of seven overall wins at the Rebelle Rally as they look to add another trophy in 2023.

The eighth annual Rebelle Rally will be held October 12 – 21 in the Nevada and Southern California desert. And for the eighth consecutive year Jeep will be there supporting the event. The women’s off-road rally tests both driving and navigation skills. The event covers 1,500 miles of harsh desert terrain over the course of eight days. Sounds like the perfect place for a Jeep, right? Well, Jeep vehicles have been quite successful at the event over the years. Over the last seven years a Jeep 4×4 has taken the overall win six times and won the Bone Stock award four times. This year Jeep will support teams that drive a 2024 Jeep Wrangler 4xe.

“At the Jeep brand, we strive to build and deliver the best, most capable off-road 4×4 vehicles on the planet, and now that 4xe is the new 4×4, we continue to push the limits of our Jeep Wrangler 4xe at the Rebelle Rally, an extremely demanding off-road event,” said Jim Morrison, senior vice president and head of Jeep brand North America. “We also have the best community of owners who demand that we build 4x4s that enable them to do extraordinary things and go to extraordinary places. Supporting the Rebelle Rally gives us the chance to support the amazing women from our Jeep community and showcase just how capable the Wrangler 4xe is, and the fact that there is absolutely no range anxiety.”

Competition Details

Wrangler Rubicon

The vehicles in the Rebelle Rally compete in two classes, 4×4 or X-Cross. The 4×4 class is for vehicles with a two-speed transfer case and X-Cross is for vehicles without one. Minimal modifications are allowed in either class. Starting in 2020 Rebelle Rally launched the Electrified Designation for EV and PHEV vehicles to compete within the 4×4 and X-Cross class. This year there will be more electrified vehicles competing than ever before. Overall, there will be 10 automakers, and 65 teams from 28 states and three nations competing in 2023.

Jeep Success

Awards

The Jeep brand will again team up with Nena Barlow and Teralin Petereit. This year the team will drive a 2024 Jeep Wrangler 4xe Rubicon. The last two consecutive years this team has taken home the overall, electrified and bone stock titles in a stock Jeep Wrangler 4xe. Driving a Jeep certainly increases your odds of taking home a trophy and the competitors know that well. More than one third of all competitors will be driving their personal Jeep 4×4 in the competition.

New Faces

Rebelle Rally

Pennzoil will be a new Rebelle Rally partner this year and will work together with the rookie team of sisters Alex and Megan Taylor. The sisters will compete under the team named Full Synd Sisters. They will be piloting a Wrangler 4xe powered by Pennzoil Ultra Platinum motor oil. “Everything about the Rebelle Rally will be a learning curve for us off-roading newcomers, but we are excited to take on this challenge,” said Alex Taylor. On October 21 when the rally wraps up at the Imperial Sand Dunes in Southern California it is likely that the winning team will once again be behind the wheel of a Jeep.
