In Any military branch...after you join and are in service for 2 yeard you can request citizenship, and in the USAF you can request a new MOS after 36 months...so instead of waiting almost 5 years, i can be an MP in 3 and if i chose to get out be a CO in 3, just in time for my 21st b-day.... wow.. i guess i was wrong then. :toung:
JEEZ... YOUR JUST A KID... DON'T RUSH IT... YOU WILL GET THERE...

BUT I AM WILLING TO BET A HUNDRED THAT YOU CHANGE YOU MIND SOMEWHERE BEFORE THE 3 YEARS GOES BY...!!!!!!!!!

LMFAO! You have nadda clue what "nothing worthwhile" means until you have been in the Military.

Wait until your in the Air Force, TDY to a Navy carrier in the Bering Sea to do a specific job because the Navy's specialist went home on emergency leave... and you are doing THEM a favor because you just happen to be coming back from Alaska on your way to Korea...

and as soon as you are done, you get stuck pulling "fire watch" for 8 hours, on the bow of an aircraft carrier, at night, in the rain, in November. With an M16...

Now... Not that i suppose it is basicly impossible for a fire to start on a floating plate-steel box, in a rainstorm, in 25degree weather in the middle of the flippin ocean...

what I want to know is... if i saw a fire...

WTF was i gonna do?

SHOOT it?

Well instead of kissing your a$$ goodbye in a fire, you just shoot yourself and get it over with in a hurry. Stop your whinning, we are trying to get Caboose to join so he can get some life expereance and grow up a bit. So stop with the negitivity and start lieing like the rest of us and tell him how wonderful it was each and every day. Just like being in Heaven,

Default Howdy Ya'll

Hi Rupe, Hi everybody....it's been just over a month but I am finally moved and settled into Little Rock Air Force Base Housing.

I sure missed everybody and wanted to read through here and check and see how Rupedog was doing.

I was reading through some of the threads about all this military talk. It truly is a great life, if as you stated, people join for the "right" reason. Rupe I didn't know you were in law enforcement. Hubby just took over the Sercurity Forces Squadron here at LRAFB, security forces is the equivalent of MP's for the Air Force. Boy do they keep him hopping as the Commander. We knew this was going to be a busy demanding job, but wow. The poor guy never sleeps. But he loves his job.

Well, hopefully I will be back on the forum a little more regular again. I sure missed everybody.
