I'll agree with Washington being an easy state to get a permit in. Most of my buddys have their CCP and I don't think any of them waited more than 4 days to receive it.

I may or may not have a CCP,and I may or may not carry a gun.

I lived down near philly,, always owned a gun for the house.. now hand-gunless but have a permit to carry and looking for a good carry gun.. I live up in the sticks,, the Pocono mountains and We do NOT have local police. State police only and they take hrs to respond.. the bank near the house was robbed and it took 24 minutes for them to respond(what do you think the response time for burglaries would be?).. We have home invasions and if needed I would like to be able to offer some kind of defense.. its not common but it happens..

I don't have a CCP, I have a Handgun Carry Permit, in TN we can carry concealed or open! However, 99.9% of the time, I carry concealed.

My right. (paid for, but you get the point)
I also have homeowners insurance. I have it, probably won't ever have to use it, but I have it.
Cops are too heavy and won't fit in my pocket.
I live in Memphis.

I carry everyday, everywhere. Their are times I don't carry, when I will be going somewhere that is a felony to carry or otherwise not ok to carry. Which is why that Tuffy under driver seat lockable gun box is in my near future.

Don't have one, can't get one, but then in Vermont I don't need one. So I just carry what I want the way I want. I prefer open carry, but I do admit, in town it is easier to just put on a vest and cover most of it up.

I think that is stupid. First I believe that every law abiding citizen of the U.S. should be allowed to carry and second I believe that an active police officer or an honorably retired police officer should be exempt from needing a permit.

i fully agreed with you a main reason im thinking of moving is the fact i cannot protect myself (legally) in one of the most violent cities in our country.
