If you need CB stuff it is a good idea to go by a truck stop. They seem to have anything you will need if your not too picky. Fry's and Radio Shack are good places to look for CB stuff too. Of course Amazon is king.

I would make sure both ends are male before you buy. Sometimes you can find coax cable that is just an extender male/female.

18' is what firestick recommends using for some technical reason. I'm sure 9' would work well too but I would stay away from other sizes if you can.

I would go with a larger 10 gauge stranded wire. You can get it by the foot at Home Depot/Lowes. I personally used 12 gauge and it seems to be working. 12 is the minimum that the fire stick tech section recommends using.
