Default Installing CB

I bought Cooltech CB mount and started to install. OK I'm not dumb but.... I could not get the license light to un plug and was afraid to keep trying for fear I'd damage. The insturctions are clear but doesn't explain if you pull, pry or just swear to get it apart. Any help for this new owner would be appreciated.

Did you pop the bulb out first?

You do not have to remove the bulb to get the inner licenplate frame assembly out. After you remove the mounting screws lightly pry out the bottom of the inner license plate backing. If memory serves me you can remove the light socket by rotating it counter clockwise them pulling it to the rear from behind the inner license plate backing.

Sorry I did not take pictures when I re-routed my amateur radio coax feedline.

Default still can't get it

I can get all apart, accept when I go to pull apart the small wire connector inside to get the plastic plate holder away to be able to drill and cut the small opening inside. Sure hope this make sense to someone sounds strange what I am asking and I posted it.
The cooltech will be great if I get the inside plate holder wires off.

If you do a search, this has been installed by several people. Should be plenty of pictures out there.
