So where have you been mounting the CB's?
Well now that I've run the coax THAT way, everything worked out fine...
Now I just need to get rid of my ignition noise. I'm surprised that I've got any since I ran + and - directly to the battery. The ANL switch gets rid of most of it from my speaker, but I'm not sure if it's heard by others when I transmit. I'll eventually get out on the trail or road and ask, but does anyone know for sure?

I didn't want to sacrifice any storage space in a JK that's already space deficient. And I like to hide what I have to reduce any temptation of thieves. I like where I mounted our radio: It doesn't hit my leg, it's very close for adjustment and you'd have to look closely to see it.
Flipped through all 30 or so pages of this thread for ideas. I just picked up my JKUR and have a Teraflex spare tire mount, Firestik 2' on a spring, Firestik coax, & a Bearcat 880 waiting to go in. In my TJ, I ran a Midland CB near my right leg using the OEM bolts holding in the trim. For the JK, I'm tempted by that Footman Loop mounting solution. Pretty clever. And for $10, I can hang it up there for a few days to see if I like it or not.

. also its hidden and is really easy to mount
