I'd a different ground.

Yeah, I thought about that, but it's already run right to the pos and neg on the battery. Is there a better place to connect the ground to? I use the ANL, so much of the noise is gone but boy, when I shut the ANL off...

Does not sound too bad if the ANL is working. I grounded mine to the inside of the Jeep, near my left ankle there are a few factory grounds for things. I just piggybacked onto one of them.

Factory bracket, mounted directly into the panel? Or what?

I didn't want to sacrifice any storage space in a JK that's already space deficient. And I like to hide what I have to reduce any temptation of thieves. I like where I mounted our radio: It doesn't hit my leg, it's very close for adjustment and you'd have to look closely to see it.

How did you attach the CB or did you just stuff it in?

Thumbs up Great Thread!

Flipped through all 30 or so pages of this thread for ideas. I just picked up my JKUR and have a Teraflex spare tire mount, Firestik 2' on a spring, Firestik coax, & a Bearcat 880 waiting to go in. In my TJ, I ran a Midland CB near my right leg using the OEM bolts holding in the trim. For the JK, I'm tempted by that Footman Loop mounting solution. Pretty clever. And for $10, I can hang it up there for a few days to see if I like it or not.
