Pain to change the fuze if anything happens.
You can leave it in the original location but then it will be a clusterfuk behind the CB. If the fuse blows just take the freedom panel off. Simple.

No spring. I have a quick disconnect. Where I go wheeling it is mainly wide open. Jeep sees far more highway time. If I need a spring in the future I'll throw one on.

Yup, lots left over. Much easier than running through carpet, although that is not very hard either.

Well now that I've run the coax THAT way, everything worked out fine... Now I just need to get rid of my ignition noise. I'm surprised that I've got any since I ran + and - directly to the battery. The ANL switch gets rid of most of it from my speaker, but I'm not sure if it's heard by others when I transmit. I'll eventually get out on the trail or road and ask, but does anyone know for sure?

What CB are you using? I wired direct to the battery, even without NB/ANL I get no noise. Does your CB include NB?

What did you use for the piece where the mic plugs into the power source that goes through your dash?
