Ummm yep you missed a lot, time to start reading...LOL

As for the stock Sahara fenders yes you can but you will need to pick up some aluminum stock from Home Depot or Lowes to make some brackets for the LEDS.. or you can do some of locations that others have posted on here. I wanted the LEDS to be as far out to the edge as possible so I could have light out by the sidewall of the tire.

That's exactly how they are wired here. That's what the DIODE is for....

This looks like a great thing to add under the hood. I was looking at my rubicon and I have a "hood pin switch" that is located near the windshield washer fluid tank. This is used for the remote start so you can not remote the vehicle if the hood is open. This switch is a ground switch and the side that you would want would be the purple with bluish grey stripe. This wire is only neg when the hood is open. Wire up your lights to a 12v source and wire the neg side to the purple/blue-grey stripe wire and BING BANG BONG these lights come on only when the hood is open. Switch is a good idea if you dont have the hood pin switch, but you can forget it and leave them on....I have seen these switches everywhere and they are a couple bucks is all(if yours doesnt have one allready). Fully adjustable too so if the hood sits higher even when closed it will still be off. PM me if you need any other help.

I've been looking for an inexpensive rock light solution that is also waterproof. Thanks! I have LED interior and footwell lighting already installed. These will be a great addition

Thanks for the link to that website. It is quite awesome. In a matter of minutes I have found hundred of dollars worth of LED's that I do not "need" but want to put on my Jeep so bad!
I think I may tackle the rock-light mod when spring gets here.
