The post immediately proceeding today's post shows the wiring harness - it plugs into the Jeep's rear power outlet. The whole thing is plug-and-play - no wiring connections to make, just plug it in.

That explains it , my 2015 2dr "base" doesn't have a Rear Power Outlet.
Maybe it has a connector on the passenger side, for the Sub it doesn't have ( pre-wired?)

Yes, if you don't have the subwoofer option, there should still be a cable and connector back there, probably behind the carpet on the passenger side.

Some news for 2dr JK owners - I've just been asked to get the slider window retrofit kit for late model 2dr factory hardtops into production. They kit will look exactly like the JKU windows in the photo below except they'll be longer to fit the window opening in the 2dr.

I've already been in touch with the hardware company that's manufacturing the JKU retrofit kit to tell them to expect to be getting a prototype 2dr kit from me so they can do the manufacturing engineering, the bad news is that I'm traveling for the next 3 weeks so there will be a little delay until I can get it to them. I have done a prototype 2dr retrofit kit already although I outfitted it with a cargo hatch instead of a slider window, so as soon as I get back from my travels I'll whip up a prototype kit for slider windows (there's a difference in the size/shape of the hole in the retrofit kit between the window and hatch versions). The cargo hatch retrofit kit is pictured below.

I'll post updates as the project progresses; expect a summer release date.

Ditto ! I suspect the 2Dr Sliders will be a bigger sale item, the rear cargo/seating area has no ventilation in the 2 door.
The 4dr has its roll down windows, which my dogs miss in the 2dr.
Help is on the way !
Enjoy that trip, bet it inspires more improvements for our JKs

That may be true, but I've seen figures quoted from Chrysler that 4 door sales outnumber 2 door by around 3:2. And I see just as much need for the sliders in my 4 door as anybody! Still glad to see the demand for these is getting the 2 door version made.

I agree about the value of opening rear windows in the JKU - I can tell you from first hand experience that having opening vent windows in the back of my Safari Cab hardtop greatly improves the air flow in the cabin, and also reduces the time it takes to cool of the interior after the Jeep has been sitting closed up in the sun because the hot air flows out the back as soon as the Jeep starts moving. And if you have four-legged passengers in the cargo area, the 4-door's ventilation back there is as bad as the 2-door.
