Custom modular JK hardtop
Update on the Freedom Panel skylight project... a company has told me they want to go ahead with them. I should be getting preproduction hinges from the hardware company early next week - that's the last piece needed before the kit can go into production. Just have to test those and then everything is sourced - tempered glass panels, hinges, latches, weatherseal, hardware.
The MORryde slide arrived a few days ago. I haven't had time to install it yet, but I did a quick test when it arrived to see how it might work out. Since it's not bolted in yet I'm supporting it with a 2x4 for the photo.

It's a double-extension slide, and in the photo above I have the fridge sitting on the furthest extension, but I'm thinking a better way to do it might be to mount the fridge on the first extension and then have the second extension pull out beyond the fridge. The second extension would have a drawer and the tabletop. Something like this:

In this next photo I've set a swivel/slide on top of main slide, it could be used to turn the fridge 90 degrees once the main slide is pulled out, and it could also move the fridge to the side a bit on its own short slide.

Haven't decided what I'll do yet, I'm still working on design ideas.

I'm working on two design ideas for a slide-deployable kitchen.
This first idea has a two-part folding table. The table folds vertically against the fridge; when it's folded down the second section flips forward to provide a fairly large table. This concept drawing shows the sequence of stowing the kitchen:

The table would be large enough to provide for a small stove plus a work surface, as well as providing full use of the drawer that slides out from under the fridge.

In this next idea, the fridge is mounted on a swivel, and swivels to the side. The drawer can slide closed under the table so it doesn't get in the way when you're working at the table. This shows the sequence of deployment:

There would be room for a stove with this option as well.

In several of the designs, the table when folded up seems to block what looks like a vent in the lower front corner of the fridge. Could that be a problem while running the fridge while its stowed away?
