Expedition Modded Jeeps - Let's see 'em!!
Fellas,
I just started a DIY build of an off road trailer similar to the Chaser by Adventure Trailers...
Just to start:
I bought a 1-ton 58" trailer axle, leaf springs, U-bolts, and a tongue from Tractor Supply. A buddy of mine works for Bad Boy Mowers and has a connection with some nice textured 1/4" and 1/8" sheet metal already powder coated black. We plan on building the frame out of double walled square tubing. The fenders we will probably fab, but may take the easy way out by purchasing a pair at TSC or online...
I plan on running 15" black steelies with 33" tires (yet to be procured). Since my Jeep is white, we are going to paint the box white while keeping the fenders, wheels, tongue, and top (marine plywood wrapped in a super thin matte black racecar sheet metal) black. Will use black rivets as well.
The top will open to two compartments... one for a marine battery powering a pump for water (probably use a spot sprayer type setup).. and the other compartment will be used for storing camping gear, parts, etc...
The top will have a rack able to hold a RTT, tire, bike, etc.....
A toolbox will be mounted just in front of the box, towards the tongue..
I don't have any pics yet, but will post them as they come...
I'm very excited about this and look forward to seeing this fun project come to life.

You shouldn't ever use a hose you suck on because of the dangers of inadvertently getting gasoline into your stomach (you'll vomit, causing injury to the throat both directions) or lungs (you'll come down with chemical pneumonia).
