Also take a look at the EVO MFG ProTeK Skid System. hxxp://www.offroadevolution.com/store/proddetail.php?prod=EVO-PROTEK
I agree the ProTek system is pretty badass, and I considered it too once upon a time. However, one should consider, especially the overland inclined, that it poses an increased fire hazard when traveling in areas with brush. This is something to be mindful of anyway when traveling in areas with high grass, etc, as you can start a fire. The added issue with this pan is there is now an area for grass to get caught next to the exhaust system, thereby starting a fire under the jeep, one that you will have a tough time putting out, assuming you catch it in time. That said, the oil pan portion would be completely safe and a worthwhile consideration.

Hmmm. Never thought of that. Do get some occasional sagebrush and whatnot stuck when we go exploring.

Thanks for the tips and advice all!

Love that Defender! My end goal with my 2dr is to have it look like a expo 2dr Defender, short of the spare on the hood!

Yeah I didn't like the spare on the hood. Saw on the 15 on my way back to LV yesterday.

I spent all day Saturday under a friend's '95 D90 pulling the axles so he can take care of the leaks, rust and install lockers ...
