It was a group of us who've become friends because of Jeep ownership and go on occasional trips like this. No organized expedition service or such.

Worked good

Could use the inverter for the charger. I have a Craftsman 19.2V impact driver with two batteries, charger and the inverter for it.

The 19.2V chainsaw seems like a nice idea. Never noticed one there. I'll take a look at Sears next time I stop by.

But in the meantime here is a shot of the rig and what I have done to get her ready for my future travels.

And a shot of the new sleeping quarters for those future travels:

I've been a longtime voyeur of this thread as I slowly built up my rig. Don't let it die now.
Very nice camp trailer

Is the trailer an m416?

Edit: never mind. I saw the question and your answer later in the thread. Thanks.

Its made by Somerset. They hired all the guys that used to make the old Coleman / Fleetwood pop-ups after Fleetwood closed down. I always liked the off-road ready design and capability of those campers, but I couldn't ever find a used E1 here in TX for sale. So I was very happy when they started making them again. The camper is only 1,800 lbs unloaded, so I can tow it pretty much wherever I want as long I watch what I pack. I had a previous off-road trailer that I could haul all my gear in, but with 4 kids that's a lot of extra tents and sleeping bags and junk to bring, this way is much simpler. And I have A/C if I am camping here in TX in the summer

More images from the Colorado Campaign trip from which I just returned. Video will be a few weeks to prepare ...

Como Lake Road to the top of Blanca Peak. Considered by many to be the toughest 4WD road in Colorado, this may be the first time that trailers have been taken to Como Lake.

Pomoroy Lake ...

Hancock Pass ...

Engineer Pass/Mineral Creek ...

And a few scenery shots ...
Great Sand Dunes ...

San Isabel Forest near St Elmo ...

Tramway Below Mary Murphy Mine ...

Moonrise near Capitol Reef National Park ...

Cathedral Valley ...

Bentonite Hills ...

Don't look for my Jeep in the above images; I rode as photographer/videographer in the one that looks similar to mine. More public images on my FB page ...

It's been a few years since I pulled my Gobi off, and I finally got something to replace it!

Trailer is a beast! Can't wait to get it out.
