Default 2013 JK Unlimited setup for Overlanding

I went with a 1.75" leveling kit on the front, no spacers on the back springs. Decided to "lift" the fenders instead. The tires are 315x70x17 on 4.5 backspace rims, 3.73 gears. I also added a Swaybar quick disconnect in the frot and Sumosprings in the back to help bottoming out. Added the Superchip programmer setup for 91 fuel tune and get 14.5 around town and 19~20 on the road.

My only problem now is I am still trimming the rear inner fender area to help with a minor rub on the front of the rear tire. The 2013 JK's already have the lover pinch seam trimmed from the factory.

Bruce, are you not worried about smashing the air tank? Any plans to put a skid of some sort over it?

I had thought about that, the tank seems thick, but I think a small skid plate would be good

You didn't add any bump stops? You need extended bump stops for 35's, lifted or not. That, or A LOT of trimming.

Rig looks good!

Does the Nutserts require a special tool to install? Where do you buy these?
Yes. A friend of mine had everything I needed.

I'd estimate 15-20 minutes to remove. Easier with two people.

1. Remove four bolts, nuts, washers that hold cargo rack. Remove rack.

2. Slide out, unbuckle and remove fridge.
3. Remove four bolts that hold fridge slide. Remove slide.

4. Remove five bolts that hold mounting plate to Jeep floor. Remove plate and drawer as one assembly.

Having used this for the past several days in the Gila National Forest, let me say how much I like it. Access to gear is way easier than before. Really worth the expense.

about this time of year I start looking for things to change, in most cases just because I'm tired of the way they are and just want to try a new setup. So, right now I have a roof rack that I'm thinking about taking off.

I usually have my trailer and I really don't put that much stuff on the roof. I think I can get by with a trail rack on my tire carrier. Would some of you with this type of rack post a few pictures? I was wondering if there are any draw backs to the trail rack concept vs. the roof rack? Have you ever seen one with the tire off center with jerry cans mounted on just one side?

It was a cold wet weekend here in Oregon last weekend. Decided to do some camping...in the garage and had a blast. Expedition garage style lol!
