I like that setup of yours, looks good and functional too. Stock wheels, tires, lift with bushwacker flats?

I agree, I love what I've got. Fits my needs perfectly. Hopefully I'll add a fridge soon (one that'll work in the Westfalia too), and solar setup. This weekend I'll be designing my own roof rack too, so I'll love her even more.

Tepui RTT on a lowered Congo Cage, Hi Lift mount, VDP end caps, etc.
Nice looking setting.
What type of system you have to fix that 60" Hi-Lift on your rear door?
Thanx

It's a rugged ridge mount. Uses factory bolts to hold itself in place, just have to drill clearance holes through the plastic hinge covers.

Pretty sure my hi lift is only a 48" as well, at least that's what I ordered, lol. If you have a 60 it'll stick up that much more.

I agree. The point isn't really who has the most money to spend on a rig. It's just getting yourself and those you care for out there. I think that's one of the things I like about expedition/overlanding--more people actually using what they've built for the purpose for which it was built, versus the plethora of rock crawlers that do little more than mall crawl (this is especially true for pick-up trucks!).

Mark personally I'm 100% agree with you! Good Point!
Luckily in my country more and more 4x4 clubs embraced the over-landing idea.
Mud-holes and rock climbing few still do, but not like in the US for shure, queuing in mountains rocks (Moab, Lion Head, etc.).
Over here mods to the rigs are carefully performed and "monster" type appearances are extremely rare to spot on street cause many of us here used our rigs also for day-to-day asphalt-landing. I believe this is also the much of the case also overseas.
I can say that in the last 2 years when wheeling with my JK (~98.000km already) only on Balkans off-road trails I've met plenty of 4x4 enthusiast from Europe but also from the US/Australia/South Africa which rented 4x4 vehicle and which are eager to explore extraordinary landscapes and hard to reach regions situated usually in national natural parks. All in one Tread Lightly (R) attitude must and I hope will become also in this part of Europe something to be considered seriously (I mean here as civic attitude rather then tickets/fines, etc), cause in a such wast 4x4 haven (no exaggeration!) some do whatever they wishes but not all time the good to the surroundings.
But this topic is referring to pics right?
Sorry for to much words!
Cheers from Dracula Land
John

In my profession as a wildlife photographer you sometimes are judged by how much expense you have in your photography equipment. When I'm doing wildlife photography seminars, I always tell the audience that its really not the equipment but the person behind the camera. Equipment is important but not as important as the person holding the camera enjoying the outdoors while photographing Unfortunately in the world of 4 wheeling, some feel they haven't arrived until every modification we need or think we need is complete. Its really about the journey!
