I am getting some ratchet straps cut to work like the ones Yeti sells, also got a couple locking cables coming to lock it down.

Do you guys think $1000 for a 1954 M100 trailer in good shape is a good deal? Found one but I am not sure what they should go for.

By good shape I assume you mean it is currently towable and not too much rust? Also, current registration is worth a lot in some states (impossible or costs you a fortune if it's not). If all is good than that price is alright. I got a discount waving cash in person on mine.

It's about 45 mins from me.
From the ad: M-100 Trailer. REBUILT, brake system works. Complete off frame resurrection of frame and body, replaced floor, rebuilt bearings and new seals lights work. Landing leg works properly. I have current registration with tag. Click image for larger version

Got my GPS, 12v plugs, USB plugs and voltage monitors in. I think it will all work out well for trips, USB lines are for the kids iPod/iPad, etc entertainment. I plan on putting a power cooler in the back, power inverter jump pack with a tire inflator etc, and I'll be running the charger into the popup camper through the 7 pin connector.

Nice. I'd go for that without question. Excellent base and perfect size for a nice off road tug along. You will not regret having a trailer. Let us know how the build goes!
