Just about finished up with the second spare tire rack. Here's the modified MBRP rack ...

And this is how the second spare will screw down (once I get some help to heft it up there).

I will safety wire the handle so it doesn't spin on its own. I don't plan to leave the tire up there because of possible sun damage.

Sure was fun today, up in Washington's Cascade Mountains, busting through snow drifts! Had the front and rear Zip lockers engaged, down in four-low, and giving that V6 some gas! Yee Haw! Had fun. Was about 33 degrees and blowing a nasty, cold wind.

Decided to not camp, but rather just head back home for a night inside.

You wouldn't regret it. Living in Denver, the 4wheeling and easy access to a ton of offroad adventures within a few hours of driving (Utah, Wyoming, etc) was great, but I am really loving living here
Shhh. Don't tell anyone, but CW and I have been working up a trip for the past couple years. It is full, but some Okie's and some Washingtonians are going to explore WA. CW is just having fun teasing us Okie's with his awesome scenery pics.
had to bring some of this good stuff to the front page...

Helped my friend, Torn, to install a replacement transmission crossmember and new Poison Spider skid plate into his Jeep this past weekend. Another friend, Manoj, keep up to help, as well ...
Old crossmember pulled (background), new one ready to go in ...

New crossmember installed ...

Manoj and Torn tighten up the new skid plate ...

Manoj torques down the driver's side front LCA (the new skid attaches to it) ...

Done and ready to go find something to eat!

Here is mine! It's a start. Garvin Wilderness Expedition Roof Rack, Ruby wheels and tires, shovel and Axe on the hood, and KC lights on the windshield. Next up in a couple of weeks will be to install a higher rated set of Ruby shocks and springs. Eventually adding limb risers, hi-lift, and a better way to carry more fuel and water.
