Expedition Modded Jeeps - Let's see 'em!!
I found this in my news feed this morning. Looks to be an excellent route for those traveling to/from Moab.
From the flyer, below, "Spanning a distance of 160 miles, the Rimrocker Trail provides 4WD, OHV and bicycle access through some of the West’s most stunning scenery. Visitors are immersed in natural beauty as the trail guides them through a landscape of redrock canyons, winding rivers, desert vistas and alpine forests. Whether you travel the whole route or just a portion, the experience will stay with you for a lifetime."

Part 5 of Ray and my Al-Can trip is now online. This part covers from the Arctic Circle to Inuvik, NT, then back to Eagle Plains, YT.

Mark,
I've been keeping up with your videos (as time allows) and I'm wondering if you plan to stay with the Dura's. I see you popped another two on this trip, albeit a long trip that crossed quite a distance.

That is actually an interesting question. For the record, the two tires that were punctured were on Ray's Jeep--D-rated 33s, not my E-rated 35s. And another problem he experienced a couple times that I did not at all was mud build-up in the wheels that caused wheel shimmy. Of course, that may be the wheels and not the tires, or perhaps some combination of the wheels and lower profile tires. But, to your question: Yes, I'm on my third set of Duratracs. I really do like them. I may reconsider someday, but for the time being I'm very pleased with their performance, and most especially on wet, paved roads where most ATs (and all MTs) scare the dickens out of me.
If I had the level of success that you did with a set of tires I suppose I'd stay with them a little longer too. It's interesting that the D rated tires would see the puncture in the center (was it both times?) and no issues with your E's.
Yes. One was a metal rod about a quarter inch in diameter and four or five inches long. The other was a stone that fell apart as we repaired, so difficult to judge size.
