you can buy replacement ends that have a spring loaded pin that makes top removal super easy... I believe besttop makes them...

Have not attached both ends of the hammock to the Jeep, but only needed one tree to hang it on and the other end on the roll cage.

I usually have the hammock (an ENO SingleNest, for those interested) tucked in my pack when heading out, just in case I get a chance to relax!

I have the double nest. I hang one end from a tree and the other from my front bumper. Works great.

There is a cheap and easy hammock mod that works great. https://www.jk-forum.com/forums/jk-s...around-188963/

I'm very active with Scouting, but now more at the district level (a level above the troops and packs). Back when my youngest was in the troop, I served as an assistant scoutmaster, and my Jeep was always very popular for the boys to ride in. I recall one time we were headed out on a campout and the senior patrol leader (boy leader who actually runs the troop, since in Boy Scouts the troop is run by the boys, not the adults) was riding in my passenger seat. About a dozen vehicles in our little group and I had been last in trail. The parking at the state park was crowded, but I noticed a big opening up near the front. So, I headed up there. As I turned between the two vehicles either side of the opening, I saw why it was open: A big rock about two feet tall on the right side of it. I just continued straight ahead and the SPL said, "Mr. Doiron, there's a big rock ..." and about then his side of the Jeep climbed up on top of it and I stopped and set the parking brake. He just laughed and muttered, "Okay!". All of the boys liked to ride in my Jeep, and most especially when I ran with tube doors.

If anyone is interested in my work with Scouting, check out my public page of favorite pictures from those activities on FB (several have won awards in Scouting magazine):

Great stuff !

Hey Mark, I love the scouts as well, Isaac joint the 1st Panaga Cub scouts earlier this year and is loving it. I am a parent helper actually as I just cannot find the time required to become a leader, they asked.......... My dad is still with the Scouts in the Netherlands, and has been Scout Master for over 25 yrs until my mum said......its me or the scouts to he became the treasure. Actually I recently took on the role as treasure for the 1st Panaga Cub Scouts. OK slightly outside the expedition scope but I had the cubs working pulleys and ropes....in the end 4 were able to pull my JEEP, oh boy the cubs were impressed
