Yeah, I really havent done anything more with that.

*knock on wood*, I haven't had a reason to go to the dealer so I really havent been that motivated to visit them and ask.

The dealer cannot add or program an option not available for that model. Sport never had auto headlight as an option. If you ever get to mpls or chicago or phoenix or fla there are people that can and will enable them for you. I did mine right away and it works perfect.....damn nice rig there too Kevin. :-)

I felt a bit motivated this weekend and got around to playing with the Jeep a bit. I'd been wanting to bed line the inside of the roof so I did the Freedom Panels today. I've got to say I really like the look. The white looked so sterile and out of place!

I pulled the panels and removed all the knobs, latches and spacers. From there, I wiped it all down with some acetone to make sure I had a nice clean surface.

Then I took a roll of Frog Tape and masked off all the edges, seals and flock tapes that came from the factory. Don't forget to plug all the threaded holes so your screws go back in! I also taped off the datum pin so it would fit back in the datum hole. You can see it is still white in the finished photo.

Then I had at it with the bed liner in a can! I used Dupli-Color Truck Bed Coating. I found it on the shelf at my local O'Reilys and it took about 1.5 cans to do 2 coats on both panels.

Let is dry as long as possible before reinstalling, it smells a bit. I'm quite happy with the way it looks. Next time I have the rest of the roof off, I will be spraying that too. Unfortunately, that probably won't be until Spring...damn!

Finished product:

Also, I did an oil change this weekend. With 6,300 miles on the clock, she is now happily running (6) quarts of Mobil 1's finest synthetic oil...plus a new filter!

Oh yeah, I almost forgot, I took out my stock fog lights today too!! The Trucklite headlights are really nice and the stock fogs performed so badly in comparison. So, I put a set of JW Speaker LED fog lights on order. While I'd of liked to have my fogs match my headlights, the Trucklite fogs put out very little light in comparison so I went with JW instead. They should be here in a few days, stay tuned!!

- Costs:
* (2) cans of bed liner: $22
* (6) qt of Mobil 1 and a new oil filter: $39
* JW Speaker LED Fog Lights: $340

The plan is to simply remove the leads from this connector, solder them to the new harnesses I'm making and insert the leads into the HVAC connector.

Love this thread - Jeep looks great, Kevinmac!

Has anyone had any luck finding a similar connector? I've been looking online and not had any luck.

Thanks in advance!

I got the JW Speaker fog lights (model 6145) yesterday and installation was a breeze. They include the weather-tite connector and harness as shown so some soldering was required. A few notes:

- The stock wiring, on the drivers side of the Jeep, black is ground and the white with yellow stripe is positive. On the passenger side, black is ground and white with red stripe is positive. The leads from the fog light are red and black making it easy to match up.

- The light on the passenger side fit inside the bumper hole no problem. The driver side was really really tight. I had to push pretty damn hard to get it to seat so it could be screwed down. I'm guessing it was the bumper (made in china) but after I got it to seat, I didn't care to take it apart to investigate further.

- Light output is amazing, night and day difference over stock!

Default More more more!!!!!

Today I installed the M.O.R.E dual battery tray. I don't really plan to run dual batteries but I was planning to use the extra space to relocate the winch control box!

I was a bit hesitant to jump into such a project. I was scared at removing the TIPM and accidentally bricking my Jeep. It was only after I watched the MORE installation videos about a dozen times each (2 part series) that I decided to make the leap!

I do have to say, MORE did an amazing job on the videos, they left out no detail. Quite literally, I had my iPad on my engine so I could follow along step by step! Total install time was about 4 hours as I took my time so I didn't damage any of the TIPM connectors.

Here are the videos:

http://youtu.be/L3uQUdvV4mA http://youtu.be/huY-HgrvQdw It's pretty amazing how tight they got the new battery tray in there, it fit like a glove. If I look back, there weren't really any pitfalls, just take your time and don't force anything. It's a tight fit but it will fit! Here are some photos I took during installation.

Final close up:

Now, you will notice that the single battery is mounted 90 degrees to what it should be. I just have it in there to make sure the engine turned over and didn't throw any codes...luckily, it didn't! The plan is to put some blocking around it to keep it from shifting under load until I can get the winch controller mounted. What you can see is that there is now a ton of room compared to what there was, especially on the left & right sides of the battery!

- Costs:
* M.O.R.E. dual battery tray/kit: $80

Default Let there be light...underhood!

I added some underhood lighting today. As usual, I wanted a OEM looking solution that met my needs. With a bit of internet catalog searching, I found the OEM "plunger" switch, bracket and wiring harness. From there, I ordered up (4) Oznium LED's and started wiring it up.

The part numbers for the switch and harness are:
Wiring - 05017129AA
Underhood Switch - 5026211AA
Switch Bracket - 68067791AA

The LED's I used are made by Oznium. They are sealed, weather tight and snuggly fit into an 11/32" hole. Plus, as a bonus, they come prewired with a pigtail.

There are (3) holes spaced out under the hood that were about where I needed them. They were a bit small so I opened them up with a drill to 11/32". BE CAREFUL...IF YOU GET CRAZY WITH THE DRILL, YOU WILL DIMPLE YOUR HOODSKIN!!! The 4th hole (far right) did not exist but I eyeballed it to make it look balanced to the hole on the far left.

The final product...not too bad, I think I will probably add a fifth LED in the center to brighten up the dark spot but I'm happy with it overall!

- Costs:
* Switch - $12
* Bracket - $11
* Harness - $11
* LED's - $19
