Tips on washing out the engine bay? Just hose, scrub, hose? Cover any electricals with plastic bags?

Needed a new water bowl for the dogs.

Made a cover for my tailgate vent.

 

I covered the alternator and some of the big exposed wires. I avoided the intake when spraying.
I used this stuff called GUNK. I used the original engine cleaner and then used the GUNK engine shine/protectant.
On cool engine, spray whole thing with foam, let sit for 10-15, rinse with hose, dry engine by running it, then spray/rub with the shiner

how did you run these usb's to the dash? And what wiring is needed? Was it hard? Do you mind explaining it to me step by step? I'm very interested in doing this and I think you did a great job and you made it look very nice and cleAn like it came with the jeep! Well Done
