I went with a 4 door so that the wife and 3 kids could all come along when hitting the trails.

I thank its deff. a personal choice i got the 2dr for the smaller turning radius and the classic look I get lots of compliments when the door sare off and top down everybody says thats what a jeep is supposed to look like but Im not knockin the 4dr because I've seen many I really like and it seems alot of people really like thme to I see lots of'em on the road proubly more than I see 2dr jks but I love my 2dr

Same here, went with a 4 door so I had room for the two kids and our camping gear. I wheel about 60% of the time alone and 40% of the time with the kids. I do find that on some tight corners my buddies in 2 doors just zip right around while I end up eating the bushes/tree branches. In a few places it takes me a couple extra turns to get lined up. I do find that I can climb straight up a steep hill with less effort than a 2 door, but we spend more time on twisty rocky trails than straight long climbs. I wish I had half the driving skills as some of my buddies, but in time I might catch up!

It would be a pretty simple decision for me, if I was a single guy or always wheeled with only one passenger I would have went with a 2 door. 4 doors is a necessity for a man raising future jeepers!

Definitely the 2-door. For me there was no question when I made the purchase with the primary factory being that it'd be for offroad use. And there's a heritage aspect as it relates to the bobtails that is just not the same with an Unlimited. I have no problem riding with the wife and daughter in the back.

They do, because the market is bigger. The bobtail has classicly been a niche, but the Unlimited opened that up. Now soccer moms and the those like them are purchasing Jeeps. Whether or not that is a good thing remains to be seen.

I’m a traditionalist so the 2 door was for me. I’m also single with no kids. That makes a big difference.
I think the 2 door is well proportioned and looks great stock. I think the unlimited needs to be lifted with bigger tires to look correctly proportioned.

I like the options that the unlimited offers me. I can take more people or more gear. The longer wheel base I'm not taking away from the 2DR folks. I also have 2 kids and it is more practical.

2 door for me, I have 2 kids still in carseats and they manage just fine.. For the trails I usually drive, I feel the tighter turning radius better breakover angle are big advantages.

I wish every single soccer mom and mall-crawler kid would buy a loaded 4-door JK rubicon, this way when I am still driving mine in 20 years I will have parts waiting at the junk yard!
