Got a general question I don't see answered anywhere else.

So the ~$800 body color hard top option (in addition to just the standard hard top option). is that basically a $800 paint job? Or is it structured differently in any way?

And how are the new hard tops insulated differently than the pre-2011 models for road noise?

 

Speaking of tops... Does anyone know if the hard and soft tops will be the same dimensions as 2007-11? I just ordered a 2012 with just a hard top, and was looking to buy a used 2007 soft top. Just wondering if it will fit.

just wanted to say and thank everyone here on the forum. the last 15 years all have ever owned was jeep wranglers my last being a 2008 2 door wrangler x. in feb i made the stupid mistake of trading my wrangler in a 2011 jeep patriot. i thought i would like it due to better mileage but i hated it from day 1. so yesterday i ordered a 2012 jeep wrangler sport and can not wait to get back in the family it is a special kinship us wrangler owners have i live in maryland and i remember a few years ago when we got hit with back to back blizzards. i was going to work in my jeep and just pulled to the side of the road for a second and three wrangler owners all pulled over and asked if i needed anything i can not wait to get my new wrangler the 2012 should be great with the new motor and 5speed auto. thanks again to everyone glad to become a wrangler owner again soon

 

Does anybody know how much the EP discount is? My letter from Chrysler says it is up to 5% below? The PP price is 1% below but I will get the EP price. I have not made it to a dealer but can't wait to order my 2012!!

It's funny you say that. I was on the way home yesterday driving my truck. Along the interstate a two jeeps were on the shoulder. There was a Jeep driving two cars ahead of me and he got over to other and then pulled over to see if he could help.

That's what I love about this brand. Don't get me wrong I love the product, but the friends you meet and make along the way is what it's really about for me.

It was nice to see two people pull over to help someone they never meet just because he owned a Jeep. How cool is that?? Sometimes I wish we could all do it because it is the right thing to do, not just because it is a Jeep thing. Got to start somewhere though.
