1.6% may not be statistically significant but then percentages are relative.

I work as a firefighter and as part of my job we do Haz-Mat responses, this includes monitoring various gasses at a scene. Since 1991 when I first got into the fire service oxygen levels in the atmosphere have been at 21%. Why is that important?

When you burn something, be it a piece of paper or a gallon of gas you use oxygen. It takes 150 molecules of O2 to make 100 molecules of CO gas. So if CO increases 1.6% you should see a decrease of O2 the same amount + 50%. But that is not happening, O2 is the same. So that means that the rise of CO is from a source other than combustion.

Maybe the rainforest are producing O2? Yes, they do but they also consume about the same amount. All those little critters and fungi use what ever O2 the plants make. Nope, rainforest are not the "lungs" of the planet.

According to some university study I read (can't remember where), the Wrangler is already the greenest vehicle on the planet when looked at from a total life cycle perspective. Add up the environmental cost to manufacture, cost to maintain and cost to dispose of and divide by service life and we come out pretty good.

I still say the #1 problem is overpopulation. Too many people belchin' and fartin' those greenhouse gasses. Less people, fewer emmissions from any source.

You are absolutely right! Everything renews.

I've got it! How about we just use up and polute everything until we all die.

When we fall over dead, make sure we pile up on each other before we get covered up. Then, after 65 million years, the intelligent cock roaches that have evolved can pump us out of the ground to fuel their Jeeps.

See there, everything renews

While this point has been made many times over the years, the people who truly believe (not sure if you are joking or serious) that are never willing to take a bullet for the cause. Its always someone else who shouldn't be born or who need to die early. Using that point then, it is a good thing that tsunamis, wars, earthquakes, disease and other things that kill mass quantities of humans happen. "Come on asteroid, and kill all the humans, except me of course" is the mantra.

Absolutely not, I for one do not believe automobiles are the major cause for excessive GH-gases, global warning or otherwise, although a small percentage it's not the culprit, our factories, airlines, worldwide trucking, etc are the culprits....oh yeah and top-fuel dragsters

But I did "go-green" with it when I had it, upgraded to 42# GREEN-TOP Fuel Injectors ...that's green ..sorta. Anyway I did sell my drag car so running 104 - 114 octane isn't contributing like it used to so I did my part
