List your Jeep related pet peeves/rants here.....
My peeve is these forums- all of them. It's really rather simple- I'd like to build things my way and not be chastised for not having the same parts as everyone else or suggesting a path traveled less often to get to the same end goal.
Surprise surprise- not everyone needs grab handles, fire extinguishers, cb's, miles of synthetic rope, ax's, and shovels.
There are other tire choices than MTR's, duratracs, toyo/ nitto (same difference), and the km2's. Don't be afraid to try something new. I've literally not run the same tires twice because I want to try something new and see what I might be missing.
-bfg at (old and current style)
-bfg mt km, km2 (km dt's are coming)
-mickey claws, mickey mtz
-dick cepek fc-2's
-trxus sts
-bfg rugged terrain
-goodyear st (worst tire next to the uniroyal tiger paw)
-damn uniroyal tiger paw
-interco tsl
-interco thornbird
-mtr (old style and new)
-firestone dest mt
Km dt's may be a temp tire choice but I'd like to get back with a mickey t tire- they last forever. Another option is the STT or maybe the general red letters if the price will drop a little.

Some clubs & group runs DO require fire extinguisher, cb & rope (or cable). :-)
To those that buy a rubicon for the leather and not into the off-roading stuff, I just ask why they didn't just buy a station wagon with better mpg.
My pet peeve:
1. the soft top cross bar that sits right where the release is and always gives me grief.
2. The drivers seat that keeps sinking and when adjusted up, also goes forward.

Those automatic door locks, they sneak up on me sometimes and get me real good. I can sometimes go a couple miles without engaging them if I'm light on the throttle, especially in the morning, half asleep, or deep in thought, usually with the radio off.
KACLACK!!!!!
I've had to peel myself off the ceiling a couple of times because I'm not expecting it, and they aren't exactly quiet or subtle when they engage at 20% throttle or whatever. Every other vehicle I own and have driven with automatic door locks engages at 5 or 15mph, so they engage at a routine and expected time. Nope, not the Jeep.

My pet peeve is how ppl think just cuz they have a big ass that everyone should wash their balls and buy everything they got cuz "it's the best" gimmie a break! I do my own thing, I'm not a ball washer.

OH! I have another completely minor first-world pet peeve. The cupholders. Not quite large enough to fit two LARGE sodas, and when they're both in there, they interfere with my arm when shifting.
My biggest pet peeve is the key. I can't stand when I give someone the key to start it and they put it in with the key ring on the top side.
Also:
1) The hardtop drip lines.
2) The angle of the rear seat, although i fixed that.
3) Mirror/Cowl dimples.
4) The buttons/switches for traction control, alot of people want their aux lights there, why not leave a pig tail or atleast a plug.

Almost everyday I'm confronted with this, but today, today I decided to gripe to all of you.
I spent energy attempting to wave to a woman in her bright yellow RUBICON, complete with big blonde hair, little dog and blue-tooth earpiece, all to have her act as if she didn't see me. Don't get me wrong, I'm blonde most days, have a blue-tooth earpiece (although thanks to top-off and wind noise I've yet to perfect it's use in the Jeep) AND I have a little dog. If I wave at you, you better wave back!
If you spent the money for a RUBICON, it tells me your serious about your Jeep, all I'm asking is...
WAVE!!
just sayin'

The waving thing drives me crazy, I wave on occasion I get a wave back. If I don't I open my window and yell "wave back asshole its a Jeep thing!"
Most of the time the response is nothing on occasion I get the finger.
I bought a Rubicon X for its capability, 4.10 gears, and features. Plus I kinda like buying the most expensive things. :P It also makes a better platform for my modding path I plan to do.... probably wont follow it but hey.
