I'll admit, I don't expect EVERYONE to wave back, but I say a little "Eff you then dude" under my breath if I don't get a return wave.

I don't drive a Jeep. I only owned one and not for very long, but I think I get it. I ,in the past couple months, have had a couple jeeps wave, but they were built. I typically dont initiate the jeep wave since I am not in a jeep, but if it is built...whether jk, tj, yj, cj, xj, liberty, whatever...I usually wave and often get one back. I have found that jeeps are about the only ones that wave back, other built vehicles don't.

I figure mine is built enough and the fact that it is wheeled is fairly obvious, so that gets the built jeep waves.

I think the wave is kind of a respect thing. Shows you respect there choice in vehicle, fits well with jeeps, but some of us outsiders get included occasionally.

I wave to all jeeps, some wave back and some don't, so if you are ever in the Baltimore area and see a red unlimited on 33's waving at you it might just be me.

I always wave to fellow Jeeps, and never worry about whether they wave back or not. Though when they do, it's always nice

I'd say I get a 5 to 7 return on the wave factor. It's such a simple pleasure in life to just do a lilttle wave and get one back. It's like 'Hey dude, you own a Jeep, you have great taste.'

I wave at all of em. Some wave back some dont, its funny when the wife is following me though. She usually thinks im pointing for her to turn somewhere, and 3 times in the last month ive been in the doghouse cause she will turn and then get lost or take twice as long to get home. Im usually just standing in driveway laughing, then she gives me one of these " You Jeepers and your damn wave" I smile and nod, at least she knows to call us Jeepers!

I wave but find waves getting returned are often Jeep Breed dependent. Like a YJ or TJ won't return a wave (unless modded) but guaranteed a JK will if they see it.

I also like waving when I pass someone on the left but apparently waves are restricted to meeting situations apparently....hmmm

I do that as well if I'm passing or see another jeep coming up in the passing lane I give a wave.
