Why all the autos?
Man......I don't know about the rest of you, but this is getting REALLY old. Now us auto drivers are lazy and don't know how to wheel....???
The thing is, I know much of these type of comments are coming from kids that really just learned to DRIVE, much less a stick, and now they've got it ALL figured out. They seem to forget that a lot of us were driving sticks before their moms and dads were even dating, and were yet even a glimmer in their eyes. But for sure they are here to tell us all about the virtues of owning a manual over an auto...
Understand kiddos, many of us have been driving twice as long as you are old, and that being in both manual, auto, and oh....need I forget......column...."SAY WHAT???"...
Do even half of you even know what I'm talking about when I say that? I doubt it.

I know what you mean.
Our high school drivers ed car was a three speed manual on the column.
Mine gets me, my tools, and equipment out to broken airplanes.
It provides a good place to sleep when working in the woods for a few days. 17°F is the coldest I've camped in it so far.
It hauls the family and stuff out of state and back for a few days vacation.
It hauls stuff home from Lowe's, Home Depot, and the local hardware store.
dd and traffic. did the manual thing for years in pick-ups, never again unless it's in my aston. the tran bs is the same as the 2d vs 4d, sahara=mall crawler, rubicon=poser, new interior is to refined, jeeps shouldn't have leather, etc. guess what your ideal jeep isn't necessarily the next guy's ideal jeep, so keep your pie hole shut.
auto, 4 door and a rubicon. don't like it? like i give a damn, you aren't making the payments

Got my jeep when I was 16 and I had my permit (20 now in 2 days) - my parents didn't want to worry about driving a stick right as I was learning to drive. In the end I am happy with the decision, especially as a daily driver and traffic.
