The Truth......Up til the past few years because of Economy their was Litttle or no Cash Back etc and Never has been ZERO percent interest on Wranglers. Many people have a hard time understanding this saying they can get 0%, no you can not if the jeep is to be Financed. I don't don't care if you are Donal Trump, he won't get 0%. It's not your wealth or credit that would get you 0% interest, It's the Wrangler it's self that states the interest rate, That's How and Why the Wrangler has such a HUGE resale, Current Value. Corvette is the same, Never will see Zero %....

I have a 2008 Sahara, my First addition of my JK collection and has around 7000 miles on it. All three BlueBook Values, Trade In, Retail, Private Sale are all $8000.00 higher Total then what I Paid for it with two miles on it New. So It's Valued and can sale for a Price HIgher then what I got the Deal for in 2008...That's just crazy...LOL...And has bumper to Bumper Lifetime Warranty on it.....These resale values, jeep and Vette are good resales because of Interest Rates not Going that Low etc and Not Like the Toyotas etc that have resale Values cause of Quality and Reliable.....

Default Biggest Precentage of 4Door owners

Don't even know the Doors come off...The crowd Chrysler targeted to sell 4 doors weren't True Jeep Hearted Fans, They wanted to grab the Fad crowd that would buy one for the newness and for conversations it would strike up with all their friends and Family. Not saying Jeepers on here with JKU's are in that group, Like new to jeep owners just for the JKU have no idea of the Jeep Wave etc...

Oh yeah, with Diesel finally being built at a better price for US sales....8 or 9 speed trannys by then, Start/Stop or Stop/Start being Standard by then and US models getting the Export bumper styles that make a huge difference on wind drag....tons of others that the US models don't get because we aren't as Strict as other Countries right now.....

Really, perhaps the "true jeep hearted fans" circumstances changed and they had kids needed more room yet still wanted to own a jeep?

I agree with you. while there is no doubt in my mind the 2-door will survive (I own one) I feel for the 4 door owners as well. my supervisor has a 4 door and I think their great. why not make it easier to get to that backseat. especially if you have children!

As long as it stay a very capable 4wd, carpet can be removed, doors can come off, top can come off and the windshield can be lowered than it'll always be a jeep with true jeep fans. Yes there will be new people that get into jeeps because they can fit the kids in the back or more luggage or whatever the reason. The way I see it though is its a way to gain more true jeep enthusiasts who may have never been one if it weren't for those features exposing them to the fun of jeep ownership. Then there are the people that have needs that the 4 door accommodates and still allows them to own a jeep.

I've known a few people that had to give up their old jeeps because they didn't have enough room and they didn't have the garage space or financially couldn't keep it as a fun toy.

Yeah that's why I said not meaning the Jeep Lovers on these sites....These are Jeep people that Love the jeep...Talking about people who care less about jeep history or talking with jeep fans on here etc....This didn't mean jeep fans/owners that had a choice when JKU came out...Talking about buyers who had no interest in Jeeps til then...Meant nothing Bad toward us Jeep fans...Sorry if it sounded that way

I bought my first Jeep a few weeks ago. I had been looking for an 04-06 TJ for 6 months, just couldn't find the exact one. Bought a 2012 Black 2 door sport with hardtop, 3.73, 6 spd, a/c , cruise. It was exactly what I wanted. I DID NOT WANT A 4 DOOR. I figured this way, just me and my wife could enjoy the ride, no tag alongs.
I've even had one person say, you got a real jeep, I thought you were getting a 4 door. Thought it was kinda funny. For the record I like both, 2 door met my desires though.

This is my 2nd 2-door, and in my opinion neither the 2-door or 4-door are going anywhere anytime soon. Although I'm not a huge fan of the 4-door, just my opinion, I think it's awesome that Jeep introduced them because it enabled so many more people to become part of the family that otherwise would have had to go with the more traditional SUV, minvan, or crew cab.
