Did this mod this afternoon- seemed to work, no codes (so far) and a 100 bucks richer that the expense of a pre- packaged kit/skid plate.

Two things that I would add:

1.) Use a heat gun on the fuel line- warm it up then bend it into the new position.

2.) Will have to cut a few zip ties to get the electrical plug to reach further into the back.

Great, logical write up! Thanks sin52!

My pleasure glad it worked for you. don't blow nothing up with a heat gun since all the hoses are fuel vapors.

Default relo

Did the relo tonight took about 1 hour and $6 for bolts. Has any one had a problem with the dif hitting it in the new spot. I am still at stock height and it looks like it could hit? Will be putting a 2.5 lift on in next few weeks so willl just take at easy for now.

Initially when re-routing the fuel lines there a few pretty good kinks. . . Took the heat gun made a few passes and the lines became a lot more cooperative. Held the lines in place as they cooled and it came out great. More importantly no explosion!

The heat gun makes sense, but alarms are going off in my head. Flame and fumes, together? What about a hair dryer? Do you think it would get hot enough?

Thanks
