Cheapest Evap Relocate!
Don't "skimp" on this mod or you'll be hating life? What? Whats to skimp on if you read my origional post/mod? I didn't use a heat gun or hammer. Those were things other people did that they thought might be helpful. My mod was free and didn't/hasn't popped any codes nor will it.
If it was a compressed air heat gun there is no problem using one.

Personally, I think you did a good job on this mod. There's a group of people that are capable of doing this mod your way. There's a larger group of people that can do this mod with the help of 12 pages of instructions.
Hey guys, has anyone done this mod (either the original way it was posted or using a Kit) that has the EVO lever rear coil over setup? I am thinking of running this suspension setup down the road so I don't want to relocate the evap if its going to be an issue.
That's a great question. I'll want to know too.
Here's a few shots of my set up..
Thanks to Sin52 for the great Idea and Insight..And the poster who had the nuts to flatten out the stock bracket. That was the missing link..
This involved straightening the stock bracket so the canister sits level.
I also fabricated a E-brake bracket. This was the finishing touch to keep the E-brake cables for resting on the cansiter..
As far as the stock hose and using a heat gun goes...I Would'nt advise folks to do it...But It can be done..The hoses should be taken out of the vehicle if your going to do..I would go with just replacing the stock hoses with some fuel rated hose. Its much easier and Safer..

Another question. Will this relocate clear the axel at full travel on a stock x? My friend is looking at doing this and if you measure clearance to the bump stop it looks very close to the same as clearance from the axel to the new evap location.
Here's my take on it. At full compression (driver and passenger sides fully stuffed) and compressing the bump stop extensions 1", you'll contact the evap canister. So if you jump you JK like Bo and Luke would, then you could pop it. If you plan on testing this, please post the video.
In my previous post...It clears with no problem!..
This was my issue with the original re locate Idea..Once I had my canister in place I measured like you did and noticed at full compression ( without compressing the bump stops) you would hit the canister. I didn't want to take that chance..
Flatten the orignal mounting bracket and your clear..

I do like your kit as I prefer relocation rather than skid(but skids are good too). I do want your steering dampener bracket sometime in the next couple of months. will it fit an oversize dampener? thanks
