Is there a Jeep caste system? He was definatly a guy who uses his 4X4 to 4X4, not just a daily driver. Can't say I've ever gotten a wave from a stock JK here in Phoenix.
Yes, wave back. Can't hurt? I'm hard pressed to get a wave from any jeeper out here in east Texas unless it's one that you know goes wheeling. I'm going to keep waving, maybe it'll re-catch on.

I've been missing a lot of waves lately. My commute to/from work takes me past a long line of stopped oncoming traffic. Invariably, there are at least three to five or more jeeps in that line of cars, who pretty much all wave. Because my lane of traffic is heavy but moving, I'm watching what's going on in my lane and I miss them until it's last second.

I've waved at lifted JGC's and Cherokees... They seem to appreciate it and are quick to reply.

I almost waved at either a Hummer or FJ-C the first week I had my JK. I considered that to be a pretty bad faux pas.

Default Jeep wave laws.

1.Initiate the wave to any JK, TJ, YJ, CJ (or any CJ-like Jeep)
2.Wave back to other Jeeps (brand) and other rigs who wave at you
3.Never wave to a Hummer, even if you know the person!

Default I know this is from a ways back kn the archives...

But I am so happy to be able to do the Jeep Wave again. Finally got my JK a week ago today, and I couldn't be happier. I even have the wife waving from the passenger seat (her idea).

So, just little friendly (cyber) Jeep Wave to all of you. Especially those that contribute to the JK Write-Ups section, where I have been spending far too much time.

Sorry the wrangler is so popular now and mainstream! It is what makes your mods so inexpensive and so wonderfully varied/available.

Like someone else said - wave till your hand bleeds, you dirty hipster!

LOL. I forget sometimes and wave when I'm driving my F150 or my bike.

I always wave and most people wave back except this one old fart in a JK I see everyday to and from work. I still wave at him. I like to think his reaction time is slow and he's waving after I've already passed him.

I'm pretty sure I see the same old duffer here as well... Kind of makes me wonder why he is even on the road in the first place with the "cat like" reflexes he no longer posses.

So many threads on this subjet, wonder if we could get Jeep to include the wave rule on one of those idiot sun visor stickers instead of air bag / roll over warnings

My dad bought a brand new CJ7 in 84 and the first time I saw him wave, I asked why? And like every good jeeper dad, he explained the jeep wave to me. When I bought my JK, I had the same conversation with my boys. In my family, the wave lives on.

I wave to every Jeep I see, though sometimes I miss one. Get just as many from stock as I do modded. Get snubbed equally on both sides as well. My greatest success though was constantly waving to a 50ish women I would pass several times a day. Finally after about 2 months, she waved back. Almost brought a tear to my eye.
