It is very possible, but honestly I have no idea. I will say that no airbag light comes on... if there even is one.

But if it does, it further supports the whole concept of this mod in my opinion. Just like I dont want ABS and traction control nannies stepping in when I am off road, I dont really want to worry about blowing an airbag either.

It would also support my reasoning for not using it on the street.
Completely agree with your reasoning - do not wan the airbag going off when off road and want it on the street.

It is also very nice not having ABS when off road. That shit sucks at times!

Took it to the dealer and they found the switch that momentarily disconnects the ESP. They made me remove everything including my manual locker switches. They said the torque converter went and messed up the pump and other parts so they rebuilt the tranny (23k miles). I get it back and drive straight home, everything was fine. I hooked up my Aeroforce gauges and set my tire size and TMPS. Went to pull it out of the garage today and the ESC light came on. I've disconnected the Aeroforce gauges, disconnected the battery for 20 minutes and the ESC light still comes on.

My concern is that the jeep worked fine until I got home and hooked up the Aeroforce gauges. I know when I take this back to the dealer they are going to go right back to the "ESC switch" and blame it on that.

Any thoughts?

P.S. I believe if the ESP switch is tripped (whether by a momentary or open circuit, both the ABS and ESC lights come on like in the write up. I only have the ESC light.

Dang, they caught ya. That sucks, cause like you said they may point blame toward that now. I am not really sure how they could "make" you remove the switches in the first place, since the cause of the original issue never had anything to do with them You would think they would point blame at large tires or something along those lines.

Yes all the lights should come on when the switch is used. So I doubt it has anything to do with your new issue.

Is your switch still removed? And what did you do after you removed it, just connect the original wires back together?

So I have to confess that I'm not sure of the 'why' to do this? What is the advantage? (honest question, not being a jerk)

Nice to have the ability to fully turn off the esp system to allow your tires to spin if needed. Most beneficial in snow and mud. Makes snow wheelin more fun!Click image for larger version

See that picture of k0260's jeep having all that fun out there in that fresh powder? That is not possible without shutting the system off. Even if you press the stupid dash button, hold it for 7 seconds or 50 seconds, caress it, do whatever with it, the stupid traction control just laughs in your face. Pushing the button will allow you to spin the tires a bit, when going in a straight line, but get sideways and all that break shit starts kicking in.

Default ESP kill switch on 2014 jeep Rubicon

Has anybody had issues with the ESP kill switch? I saw something about low voltage problems with other circuits when the switch is on? I live in the snow and I hate ESP and ABS win drifting in the winter fun!

Any help would be greatly appreciated!

Love mine, live in Wisconsin. The only prob I have is I can't set the cruise after I push the button. I've always been scared to push the button AFTER I've set the cruise, afraid I'd fry something. Does anyone know if I can?
