Default Or Fab Rear Tire Carrier

Great write-up. I installed an Or-Fab tire carrier and I tell you it took me a long time. To make your life easier, you must have a angle drill and a little luck to drill some of the holes they want you to drill. But I took my time and it came out great. I also attached my Hilift jack to the back. Hard to see with the Tule Carrier.

From the carrier to the tailgate is 8 3/4". The cans mount on the lip of a metal can so you will need to fab a mount up if you want to put something else there besides a "metal" jerry can. If you need any other dimension just let me know

I know that you already figured out they would not fit but here is a pic of the "U" shaped bracket they sit on.

I have the covers that mount on the tail gate part of the hinges on, the body part of hinges I left off.

Has any one mounted the Scepter Jerry cans back there? If so how did you support the bottom side?
