Got mine done and happy with it. Soaked the tie blocks in Goo gone tape just slide off with no problem. Let them soak over night

I finished mine yesterday, thanks for all of the help to everyone here. I used the plastic roll of gutter guard and plastic epoxy to mount the zip tie blocks to the backside of the grille. It came out pretty good, I am just worried about the durability of it all in the long run, as long as the blocks stay glued to the grille then replacing the mesh should be cheap and easy.

I also replaced the chrome grille emblem with this black one that I bought on ebay for $8, it looks so much better now.

Default Did mine a little different

It has taken me a long time to get this done. I looked for the expanded steel for quite a while. Finally gave in and went to the local steel supply company. Ordered my piece of 1/4" by 18 expanded steel. Waited for a week for them to cut it. Dropped it off at the powder coat shop and waited for another week. I didn't want to deal with the zip ties and blocks falling off. I have heard mixed reviews about the performance of the blocks. So I screwed it into the frame behind the grill. I had to trim the steel in a couple of places.

Removed the gutter gaurd version a couple weeks ago and replaced with expanded steel. Bed-lined first and then painted the same color as the rims.
