I love this thread!

Picked up my 1x1 zip tie blocks and soaked them in alcohol. The foam backing peeled right off.

Hopefully I'll have some time tomorrow to get it assembled.

So I did this a few months ago and it turned out great, but I used steel not aluminum. I used several coats of paint but over time the grill has rubbed through and now there is a little bit of rust stain on my grill...any ideas on how to remove the stain? I ordered the expanded aluminum to replace the steel but I was just curious if anyone knows how to remove rust stains from that plastic grill?

Just did mine using this stuff:

Used the sticky zip-tie holders that a lot of others have used.

I did that this weekend, I actually spent more time waiting in line than it took to install. Pretty easy and fun mod!

Where is everyone getting expanded aluminum from? I can't find it for a decent price.

I bought gutter guard. Pack of 5, 36x9" i believe. From Lowe's. Then cut each one to size.

I think i cut it to 14" tall by 6" wide... I can't remember exactly. I think i did a write up few months ago. I know there's lots of write ups for the sizing.

Did this mod yesterday with the gutter guard and I used spay on bed liner to paint it. It looks good and was super easy to do. I cant believe I waited so long to do this.
